The Factsheet enables potential future issuance of European Green Bonds and reflects Länsförsäkringar Bank’s commitment to high standards of transparency and sustainable finance.
 

Proceeds from future issuances are intended to finance or refinance mortgages financing energy-efficient residential buildings aligned with category 7.7 (Acquisition and ownership of buildings) of the EU Taxonomy. Länsförsäkringar Bank intends to issue future European Green Bonds under this Factsheet to support the financing of such energy-efficient residential buildings.

“By aligning with the new European Green Bond standard, we are strengthening our green bond funding further and supporting the development of a robust, transparent market for sustainable finance in Europe. Energy-efficient and fossil-free heating of housing is central in Sweden, and this framework will assist in channeling capital towards residential properties that meet stringent EU sustainability criteria” says Axel Wallin, Head of Sustainability, Länsförsäkringar Bank.

The Factsheet has been reviewed and positively assessed by Sustainable Fitch, confirming its compliance with the requirements of the European Green Bond Regulation as well as with the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) Green Bond Principles.
