Länsförsäkringar signs the UN’s Principles for Responsible Banking
Länsförsäkringar Bank has signed the UN’s Principles for Responsible Banking. This clarifies the bank’s ambition to meet global sustainability challenges and to work towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. “As a local and customer-owned bank, Länsförsäkringar Bank plays a vital role in the transition to a more sustainable society, and we will do our utmost to assist our customers in making sustainable choices,” says Sven Eggefalk, President of Länsförsäkringar Bank.

By signing the principles, Länsförsäkringar Bank commits to reporting both the negative and positive impacts of material sustainability areas and clearly indicating which specific SDGs Länsförsäkringar Bank is working to achieve.
The UN Principles for Responsible Banking aim to set the framework for a sustainable banking system that drives the global economy in a sustainable direction. By signing the principles, Länsförsäkringar Bank commits to reporting both the negative and positive impacts of material sustainability areas and clearly indicating which specific SDGs Länsförsäkringar Bank is working to achieve. The bank also commits to working towards joint sustainability targets together with other players in the banking industry, applying a synchronised and comparable work method.
Länsförsäkringar Bank and the Länsförsäkringar Alliance are currently focusing on contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and prioritises goals 3, 8, 10, 12, 13 and 16.
